TintFlorida allows a non-reflective tint strip above the AS-1 line on the windshield, which is the manufacturer-marked line near the top of the glass. The strip can be any shade as long as it stays above that line and meets the non-reflective requirement under Florida Statute 316.2953. Below the AS-1 line, full coverage of dark film is not permitted on windshields under state law.
A clear or near-clear ceramic windshield film with high Visible Light Transmission is also legal across the full windshield, and it rejects infrared heat and ultraviolet exposure without darkening visible light meaningfully.
